OK I agree that the Copper should have given a chance to pick up the litter but still hold that litter is litter and it fucks up our country.
I was out walking the dog yesterday and the amount of litter in the countryside was appalling, I could have picked up a black sack full and this was miles from anywhere

That's the mentality that I just don't get. Go to any 'Beauty spot' and you can guarantee there's crisp packets, drink cartons, ice cream wrappers etc scattered around. Now, presumeably, the people that litter have gone there to enjoy the scenery / tranquility / beauty of the place so, what kind of mind thinks 'OK, seen that so I'll dump me rubbish and f**k anyone else's enjoyment of it'? Of course, I'm making the huge assumption they are capable of rational thought
Bugger, you've set me off again...

TBH, I'd missed the fact they were coppers and assumed they were Community Officers (or whatever they're called). But, thinking about it, I'm not sure they (the C.O) have the power to fine or arrest - not sure really. If they haven't, then maybe they should and thus release the coppers for chasing crims. That said, if the coppers are on patrol and pull someone for littering, they'll get my vote.
O/T. Called to see Rich yesterday, completely forgetting he was in the IoM, and Lisa told me about your off. I was gutted for you Gio and wish you a speedy recovery.
Cheers

Thanks Tweaker, I'm getting there, just bloody sore all over though.
To get this back on topic I was in North Wales (Betws-y-Coed) and we stayed at a campsite there, part of a hotel/pub called Swallow Falls Hotel. What a dirty dump that was, litter everywhere and he showers looked like they were used as fly tips.

your missing my point or i've not put it across, i'm not looking for sympathy,i hate litter as much as the next bloke and i agree with you tweaker.but these nazi's who were'nt coppers but council workers had clearly gone power crazy and its getting to the point where council workers are doing more policeing than plod.in my view when a council worker can caution you and his bosses can decide on the level of punishment then thats getting bang out of order. let the police do the policeing.
