Hi Folks,

Managed to get published in the SEB Magazine (South East Biker) about riding in the Sunset2Sunrise Tour with the guys and gals from Bikers4Macmillan.

It's a short three part series starting from the original diagnosis through to taking part in the ride - so no pressure then!!! :smt087. The other two articles will be published in June (about the challenges and other people I've come into contact with, and August (did I make the ride, what it was like and thanks to those who have helped behind the scenes).

Please excuse the level of writing as this is the first time I have done this sort of thing - so, it 'ain't professional' by any means and the editor let it go 'uncut' so it's from the heart and may want to make you :smt078 - apologies in advance.

Hi Frank,

Donation wise it was disappointing but not surprising as we had rain throughout most of the day, thanks for asking. The Gals and Guys from Bikers 4 Macmillan turned up as promised, with most riding in excess of 200 miles. They are a great crowd with lots of banter. Most were ex-services so felt right at home and made to feel part of the group right from the off.

So, 'Icinic944s' you've come over to the dark side to the Falco'Your Name' clan?!

May the force be with you my young ( at heart :smt003 ) padawan, and the 'original' FalcoPete will look out for you.

p.s. have advised B4M of your riding number so we can be in the same riding pod.

Should be back on the Falco for the first time in 20 months after I finish putting the handlebars above the yoke and dropping the height of the sachs shock. This is so I can get my feet flat on the ground for a bit of stability as my weight is still only 60.4 kgs (from an original 79 kgs). Must sort out the SORN, tax and insurance too.

See you on 21-Jun Frank :smt002

Have just tried to fire up my trusty steed for the Sunset2Sunrise Tour. Only the 2nd time in 20 months after half a day on trickle charge. Hit the button and she fired up first time. God I love this bike. :smt041 Looks like B4M aren't far off their 200 max riders with only 43 days to go !!!

Congrats Pete :smt004

Onwards and Upwards ! :smt003

My hopes to get back on-board with this event have suffered a blow. After 2 weeks without dizziness and having ridden the bike to work a few times this week, today the dizziness was back.
Not as severe as what I had at first but not close to being able to ride a bike today.

Doh! :smt090

Thanks for the image Falco Frank (aka iconic944s) at least I now have an image of the finished product which will be a great help.

I am now thinking about 'simply' dropping the forks through the clamps to release the handlebars. It looks like it will be easier in the long run as I have an ABBA stand and can support the front of the frame by jack (thanks Andy for the info).

So will see how it goes this weekend...fingers crossed :smt087

Andy, so sorry to hear that you have the dreaded vertigo back after it was looking so promising too. But your safety is the prime concern.

Of course the alternative is to fit a pair of guider wheels :smt002

Hope you feel better soon mate !

ALL 200 rider places are booked now with 180+ having paid which apparently, will make this the biggest turnout for the event since it was started!

I've decided to ride down on Friday and see a little of Wales and a look at the Anglesey race circuit, if possible.

Many Thanks to anyone who has donated to Pete's page...

Its easy, even by mobile!

Text - STST60, £ (with your amount) to 70070

Its completely anonymous and you have the option of adding Gift Aid or a message later.

Hopefully more, with piccies - after the event.

Ride Safe - Frank
