Can't understand all this fuss about BMWs.
I love mine!
It's very economical, (better than the Falco).
Very quick, (nearly as quick as the Falco).
It has incredible grunt, (286 ft.lbs. of torque).
It's small, but just big enough for what I now need.
Has excellent build quality.
It has shaft drive. (and RWD).
Plus ABS, Traction control, dynamic stability control and all sorts of other stuff.
Then again, like the Falco, it's not much fun in the snow!
It's handling is superb, although the suspension is a bit firm, but OK with me.
AND it qualifies for cheap Road Tax.
Then again I still love my Falco, which is the best and most reliable and most soulful bike I've ever owned.
As for the BMW, mine has four wheels.
BMW 123D M Sport 2 litre twin turbo diesel.
Yes I know some T***S drive bigger cars with the same badge, but with a drive this much fun, it doesn't bother me.
As for the BMW GS, not my choice of bike and never will be, but hey it's a bike so not all bad, but I would never spend that sort of money on that sort of bike. Like Graham I find the sports tourer riding position much better than the GS type position even at my advanced age!
