Afraid not.
Legislation remained the same in respect of their operations and evidential issues, and local authorities do at least know the procedures to ensure that they comply with the law in respect being able to issue fines and the like.

I wouold love to challenge the one that said I had an average speed of 89mph over the buxton to congleton road ... on a bike there is a straight that I copuld reach that on however I was in a golf diesel and the turbo wasn't working os 89kmh may have been more realistic as an ambition
As for sfaety cameras generally I have long held the viiew that safety is the one thing that they are not about
For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.
That said when it comes to motorbikes, I like to ride side saddle with a nice frock

Sometimes geoff i think they are a good thing and other times i am not so sure. I like Howards comment about them being revenue earners though because i in most cases think thats all they are

Tolerance will be our undoing.

you forgot big fek off artics doing 57 in a 60 where they are limited to 40 IIRC its all bollocks .... TBH I would be quite chuffed if I honestly thought I had got an average of 89 on that road as it could only have been respect for Squids love of sheep that kept me from going any faster

My respect for sheeps keeps me from going faster. Very dense for something so fluffy looking. I've already bent one Italian v-twin on the woolly bastards.

You wouldn't want a Lamb Rogan Josh Lite, now would you? Or a Fairy Leg of Lamb?

I love the connotation of tarquin and fairies.... Perhaps a black sabbath fairies in boots
Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Not a new thing Graham, heep used to be a real problem out on Road Rallies years ago, as unlike most other things they don't run away from lights/noise.
It was bad enough hitting one in something like my Escort, but in a lightweight rally mini, it would wipe out the front end!
Glad I didn't rally in Wales too much.

There is of course the other side of the coin, there are to many daft people entrusted with a licence. Here in Surrey I'd go as far as to say 95% of the drivers shouldn't be on the road, they speed past schools, pull out of junctions without even a cursory look, stop on roundabouts (the I'm going nowhere so you aren't either type), shave, apply makeup, all while texting or talking on their mobiles let the kids while on the school run use the back seat as a trampoline. Park on the zigzag lines (pedestrian lights and schools).
I could go on but I rather like stopping these halfwits and remind them that they don't own the road.
One day I'll set up a web site and video these people and put them online

I still think, as I have done for years, that we should adopt the German road network's speed limit system. It works. Well.
