although it aint gonna be as bad as a lads insurance.
The kind of cars im looking at is...... Yaris,KA,saxo,206,corsa,matiz (in that order).
Found a great insurance company for females, diamond.co.uk ,for a yaris its under £700 (TPFT).(thats awesome compared to gocompare or that fecking meerkat one)lol.
So i just gotta get home so i can go looking at the cars i found on the tinterweb.

Back bushes on the wishbones are the main issue. When test driving the car put your foot down and see if the car pulls slightly to one side, then take your foot off the excellerator and see if it pulls the other eway. Thats how to test them.
If you hear a clunking noise from the front end when going over bumps its one or both anti roll bar links
The radiator fans on the 1100cc bearings fail has they have a small motor, but a replacement can be found for 60 quid on ebay.No other peugeot model fits. Ask me how i know.
If you look at the rear of the vehicle from a distance and the car has excessive negative camber that is due to the bearings in the rear axle worn, peugeots have a trailing arm set up. It will not be the wheel bearings!
It is easier to change the rear axle, but this is not just the 206 all the peugeots they suffer the same fate at higher miles.
That said these are not bad cars i have had seven peugeots.
The saxo is the same demons has the above but it is same has the 106 peugeot in size and floor pan etc. Apart from the panels they are the same car!
I would not rule out a renault clio in your list too has they are good little cars.
The up side for the KA is they are cheap and cheerfull but back light bulbs are a bas*ard to change has the back bumper has to come off!!!!
Corsa,s are good little cars and spares are readily availabe and they are easy to work on. But having the choice i would have the yaris. Toyota reliability is second to none.
I have worked on all the above cars and i can say whole heartidly......The KA's back bulbs are really a Bas*ard. Really.. Really really really.
