Coventry is holding the Football event at the Ricoh Arena (or Coventry Stadium during the games). I mentioned to my gaffer about a tax free bonus similar to what those working
(sic) the tube. His response was far from sympathetic, but humours none the less.

Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handle bars to the saddle.

Is it just me, or does that make no sense at all??

The tragedy of old age is not that one is old, but that one is young.

London Underground workers are moaning that they'll have to do a bit over the 2 weeks the Olympics are on. Therefore are after a huge bonus each (they've just turned down £850 a piece) as some sort of compensation for doing their job. I live in Coventry, which is hosting and Olympic event, so I said to my gaffer "how about a bonus for having to work through the Olympics". His reply was "fuck off"..lol..

ok will
is this olympic event in Hinckley by chance.... and was it part of the "special" olympics?
Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Oh damn - in all the years I've lived in Coventry, I never even realised we had a tube system - let alone that Will moonlighted as a driver on it.
That said, there are plenty of old tunnels under the city that have been cleared of coal - so maybe they found a good use for them.
Must go and find a copy of the Coventry tube map

We've got proper Olympics here ....... I realise that the Eastern Swamplands didn't manage to get the ancient sport of bog hopping made in to an Olympic event
