Small problem
Just so folk are aware, we have a potential problem with the domain name
As folk are probably aware, domains are registered and run 2 yearly and owners have to just keep the registration active
It's no biggie but some one else has tried to cyber squat
Tim is taking time out from penguin wrestling to sort it out, but just thought it wise to let folk know

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

I thought that this was the reason behind having a Domain Name Registrar, to sort problems like this out. The organisation that deals with this stuff in the UK is Nominet.co.uk. I had occasion to deal with them about 5 years ago when I was attempting to transfer a domain name from a company I used to run to me as an individual. They took a fair amount of convincing that everything was on the level, and seemed to be committed to 'doing the right thing'.
If you haven't been in touch with them yet, I'd make them my first port of call...

Contact has been made with nominet - personally I do not think it is an issue
I guess the thing is that some domain names and the click through traffic have commercial value
I must also say that by being quite open about it , we are sending a message to a group or individual

It was just a minor glitch in the time-space continuem.
It happens quite often whereby someone sees a domain, WHOIS's it, sees when the runout date is then thinks 'cool' I'll get that one when it runs out.. without considering who is actually using it.
Which they won't

Riotracing went the same way. When that came up for renewal, as the team had disbanded, someone else took it on http://riotracing.com/

Well, I suppose that one kept a similar theme - it could have become taken by a group of tracing enthusiasts in South America .... RioTracing.com .....Kwackerz wrote: Riotracing went the same way.
