Went to Barton, (Barton upon Humber), Bike Night last Night.
It was the first time I've been, often planned in the past but never got there.
Anybody else go?
Only saw two Falcos, one Black and one red, and met DavShill, but did not see anybody else, but then with at least 10k to 15k bikers there it would have been easy to miss people!
Was not exactly as I expected but then again wasn't sure what to expect.
Went by car as my mate Dave had a bad day yesterday and wasn't up to going by bike then a 2 or 3 hour walkabout. We started to meet traffic as soon as we left the motorway at the Humber Bridge.
After that it seemed that every estate road on the outskirts of Barton, were full of parked cars, and there were even bikes parked this far out.
There were police bikes everywhere, must have been dozens of them, (thought most of them had been pensioned off but if so they have all retired to South Humberside).
Dave has a disabled sticker and he brought it so that got us half way into town and then about a mile back up a side street.
We walked from there. Bikes were everywhere, many going in to Barton and many coming out, as it appeared there was no bike parking space left in the centre, so many who went down came back. Then again some may have decided to go through town and back (Repeat etc..).
Once we got to the central part, every bit of road side space, garage forcourt, pub car park the sides of every road, and the closed off roads were full of bikes, plus trikes, a few quads and quite a few scooters.
Every sort of bike was there, from Monkey bikes to Road Kings and Victories, from Tiger Cubs and 125 Aprillia racers to R1s.
The other reason we went in the car, was that there were supposed to be lots of Trade stalls, and I was looking for a jacket and Dave a new set of boots, there were some but not too many so we failed on both counts.
The majority of stalls were probably fast food, but George Petch Wheels turned up with a selection of Ducatis.
The pubs had 30 min queues for the bar and chip shop queues looked even longer, but the fast food trailers helped that.
Overall it was a good night and it is claimed to be the biggest bike meet in Europe (??).
Will certainly try to get there next July.
Anybody else go, and how did you find it?

Sounds impressive, especially for a one-night meet.

Hi Howard - yes it was a good night. Great to see you and meet Dave. More there than usual probably because of the good weather. I enjoy the the fact that there is a massive variety of bikes at the meet customs, classics, race bikes and a really friendly vibe. I saw a silver Falco two up with high level exhausts.
