The clock is ticking in the Dunlop Livery Competition with a week to go…
Aspirant designers face a race against time as the first round of the Dunlop Livery Competition 2011 ends on May 4.
The competition, whose winning design will be raced at this year’s Le Mans 24 hour race on June 11-12, is nearing the end of the month-long national entry phase with some very promising – and indeed some not so promising – designs already submitted.
The competition can be entered or designs voted upon at www.dunloplivery.com. The competition is open in Belgium/Luxemburg, Netherlands, UK, Germany, Spain, Portugal, France and Austria.
Those wanting to enter can download a design brief then upload their efforts for scrutiny by their fellow designers, the public and a select panel of judges.
After the national stage closing date of May 4, three national winners will be chosen per country, with a fourth national winner chosen by public vote.
The four national finalists per country then go forward to the semi-final stage which runs from 12-23 May from which four finalists will be selected.
These four finalists will be the guests of Dunlop at the Le Mans 24 hour race where the winning design will be presented to the world’s media adorning the JMW Ferrari 458.
The JMW Ferrari, resplendent in the competition-winning design, will then go on to tackle the trials and tribulations of arguably the world’s most famous motor race.
The competition Dunlop Livery Competition can be entered at www.dunloplivery.com. But hurry. There’s only a week left.
