I noted the question about car and vans but no mention of motorcycles?

Did mine on-line the other day. :smt001
Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handle bars to the saddle.

I leave complicated stuff like that to the boss. I just get on with enjoying stuff. :smt002
I'm right 98% of the time so why worry about the other 3%?

How many are aware that the Government is not doing the census themselves - they've subcontracted the work.

To whom have they subcontracted the gathering of the nation's data? .... no not some British data crunching company but to a major armaments manufacturer from the USA - Lockheed Martin.

Yep - we'll be boosting the profits of another nation's arms company that has also provided contract interrogators at Abu Ghraib prison and Guantanamo Bay.

Do fill the form in though - you risk a £1000 if you don't - though there are ways to reduce Lockheed Martin's margin on the fixed price contract - eg avoid filling it in on-line as that is about the cheapest way for them to collect and process the data.

Yes, mine has been filled in (paper version) and mailed back tonight. I think I might have omitted to put my phone number on the front though. How forgetful of me...

I did have a laugh filling in the bits about employment. My job title is 'Technical Specialist', and when asked what my job entails I put 'Specialise in Technical things'. My wife is a Customer Advisor; she 'Advises Customers'...

I also made sure that I put myself down as using a motorcycle to commute to work, even though the last time I rode my bike to work was probably over two years ago...

A bit of disinformation never did anybody any harm. After all, the government of the day isn't shy about doing it to us, is it?

And on that basis I put my religion as biker even tho I actually ride a trike! (and am a Christian!)
The tragedy of old age is not that one is old, but that one is young.

I'm still a "Jedi" and its still drives my wife mad as its the only thing I insist on her putting on the form.

Missus wouldn't entertain it though so she remains Christian on her part.

Eldest was pissing me off and was late in so threatened to put her down as an Afro Carribean Lesbian if she didnt get home NOW.

Amazingly she was in 5 mins later :smt005 :smt005 :smt005
