I still get mild vertigo from which I've suffered since I was a child.

Didn't stop me joining the Parachute Regiment though and chucking meself out of perfectly servicable aircraft. :smt017
I'm right 98% of the time so why worry about the other 3%?

Seems logical to me - abseiling, well you've got ropes n stuff! Parachuting - again, there's something to stop you just falling. But a sheer drop when you're riding a bike? Some bikers can't stay on the road when there's no drop!

However the only time I've been really scared was some years ago in Cyprus when driving a maountain road and meeting the 'Akrounda cowboys' coming the other way - we were on the outside and they weren't taking prisoners - the bus was the worst, he wanted ALL the road! In the end we chickened out and turned around on the basis of, if you can';t beat em, join em!

Debz doesn't do heights (or drops more accurately) but she was fine on the Millau bridge, you can't get near enough to the edge to look over it, anything you can see is in the distance. For that reason I found it a bit of a let down, I was hoping to see ab it more of the country around me, was still good to do it though, and the road that follows it (N911 is it??) kicks some mighty ass!

That explains why the Falco lot on here ride Falcos and not RSVs, .........................................

The bloody seat is too high on the RSV so you all get vertigo! :smt005

Sorry I do have sympathy really, the wife will (can) not walk over any open foot bridges that she can see through, she just freezes as soon as she looks down and cannot move. Have had a few occasions where she only really looked down amd noticed half way over!

I've been across it about a dozen times going to Italy via Pignon, twice on a GS1200 (there and back) and I love it, it makes you swerve about in gusty conditions :smt005
