Wouldn't it be nice ........................................
To have somebody on here talking about riding their bikes again!
In stead we get lots of boring stories nothing to do with bikes.
Our estate is still sheet ice all through, couldn't even stand on it yesterday, (never mind get the bike out).
Myself the wife and daughter decided to try and walk for a bus yesterday as no chance of getting the car up the hill.
The idea didn't last long, (I only ever travel on a bus every 5 or 10 years).
I went down first, never got past the end of our drive, as I shouted, my daughter Jo turned round and she went down, who then shouted to the wife, "don't be silly mum, we can't get up here", so she turned round and instantly went down.
All this within 5 metres, how we laughed !!!

See what I mean about boring non bike stories.

Debz swapped her Fazer and my Falco around in the garage yesterday. Her Tuono stayed where it was though.

Was that interesting enough?

I normally get withdrawal symptoms if I don't get out at some time on a weekend, and usually ride most weekends in a normal winter.
Trying to remember last time I was on the bike.

Not been out on mine since Boxing Day .... been taking the car to work due to the roads etc.
It's not too bad once you get out of our road but that is pretty bad and I'm also bothered that if I get it out, I'll never get it up the slope of the drive again and back into the garage.
I've been parking the car half way up as it's too much hassle to clear the whole drive .... and there's no salt to be had either ... the scary thing was when I got the car part way up the drive, parked it, left it, then after a few minutes it became an unmanned toboggan - heading straight for my son's car.
It stopped within inches as a brick I'd put behind the back wheel dug in to a drain at the bottom of the drive ..... I don't want to play that game on my bike!

Funny thing is when I go away on business, I'm usually climbing the walls through not riding - and last year when my ribs were broken I was desperate to be allowed to ride again .... but I can't honestly say that I'm missing it at the moment ....
Hopefully I'll return to normal when the weather improves .... OMG did I really say that? .... am I becoming a fair weather biker .... I sincerely hope not ......

have got mine in bits but strarted the oasis green today after new exhausts were fitted....

sounded good :)

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Last week after I got home from work I rode my bike to the beach and had a swim with my kids, was a bicycle though.

If you include the short sprint to the sea 'coz the sand was hot the whole escapade could be classed as my 1st ever training session for a triathlon :smt002

Must have been around the 12th of December I last had the Falco out, just before the first lot of snow, was cold but I really enjoyed it.
Had to make a decision about getting the delivery of the ZX9R today, scheduled for this Saturday, (the first free Saturday after getting back off hols in Spain). Weather was terrible yesterday, but looks better today so phoned up and told dealer to deliver the bike as planned. Then they changed the forcast, (been saying sunny all week for Saturday), now they reckon snow. Sod it, it's coming now, with luck both of them will be getting a run this weekend, if the salt dries a bit.
Fingers crossed.
Just need to get on a bike.
