Well done Dale!
I have nothing against religion if people keep it to themselves, I was religious and confirmed as a teenager, then something very bad happened to change my mind, well it opened my eyes actually.
Now in a situation like this, I just explain to them that without religion we would not have war and all the death and destruction this causes, mostly to innocent people.
Then ask the question why when we have famine in Africa or whatever, do so many young innocent children die, what did they do to deserve this.
They are usually gone by this time, if not I suggest they go to help the latter, rather than preaching to me as I am past conversion!
In any case you do not need to to be religious to be a good, caring person.

well - a JW just knocked on my door

told her i was a pagan - basically true - i think she was shocked....

wanted to discuss it - no thanks....

religion is a personal choice - why people have to inflict it on others is beyond me

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

I find a bit of reference to the Bible itself often works. I'll ask them if they take the Bible as the word of God, to be followed to the letter; they invariably answer 'Yes'. Then refer them to the relevant bits of Leviticus (can't remember chapter and verse right now), and ask if they exclude menstruating women, and women who've recently given birth, from their meetings/services, and if not why not. Also, do they stone adulterers? And what about the prescribed sacrifices etc etc? Seems to make them a bit twitchy.

Had them round again today, some drab colourless jelly-like bloke and a woman of a hundred and six doddering round with him in the snow.

Not concerned about the religion side, I was confirmed a long time ago and tend to give God a rest, choosing only to annoy him with asking for help when i really need it.. all those people constantly praying, must be a bit of a grind having to constantly turn the TV down to hear the latest prayer coming in over the tannoy.. anyways..

Im more concerned in what the 'two oriental girlies' were wearing? were they fit? did you take pics? Share the wealth...

Mate! what do you think?

Bible bashers are rarely hot and these chickibabes didn't dissapoint. Pretty geeky and beige IIRC. It was pre 7am so I wasn't focusing or functioning too well, but trust me, if they were worth a second glance I'd remember.
