There are some idiots out there!

The joint managing director of the British School of Motoring avoided a driving ban, despite accumulating 17 points on his licence. He had been summonsed to court for failing to reveal was driving his Volvo at 50 MPH in a 30 zone. He told Bournemouth Magistrates that a driving ban would put his job at risk and prevent taking his mother to the doctor's :smt009

A hit and run driver, who stopped to pick up his bumper after killing a man and then sped away, later claimed to be unaware that he had hit anyone. The 19 year old driver was jailed for three years and three months at Reading Crown Court after he admitted dangerous driving.

The chairman of Hull City FC had his 6 month driving ban overturned by a judge because it would hamper his chances of recruiting new players. He argued that a chauffeur might overhear and leak confidential negotiations. :smt017

Close to 1 million drivers were caught breaking the speed limit in a european wide campaign in August. The week long clamp down involving the traffic Police of 22 countries, used static cameras and vehicles. Almost half the offences were committed in France :smt002
It is better to arrive 30 seconds late in this world than 30 years early in the next

So what is your point TC? The implication to me is the idiots are those who respect the law?

Not a healthy situation. I 'm not an observer of the letter of the law but the spirit often has merit.
