You English and your weather...

#1 Post by Viking » Wed Jul 01, 2009 11:26 pm

Hey all,

Was reading the BBS website this morning and found this little gem:
The BBC Website wrote:Meanwhile heatwave warnings in London and the South East reached Level 3 - the second-highest level - on Wednesday, with temperatures exceeding 30C and forecast to continue through Thursday.
30C is a lovely warm day. Just right to be out and about on the bike. What are you lot complaining about??
The BBC Website wrote:The Met Office said a key factor in raising the alert had been night-time temperatures, with some areas not falling below 18C.
If it was 18C at night here, I'd be one very happy Viking! I hate the cold.

The best sleep I ever got was in Thailand - it never dropped below 24C during the night. Perfect!!
It's the V-twin thing. There's just something about it that inline-4s don't have at all, and V-4s don't have enough of.

I chuckle to myself too - coming from a hot country I dont get what all the fuss is about, but I guess its all about relativity.

What does make the heat worse here though, is the complete lack of swimming pools!

I love the heat but it's humidity that drives me mad. I can't stand that sweating just sitting down type of weather.

Pimms anyone ? :smt003
