Going to our Corporals' Mess do, dressed as Ron Jeremy, the famous short fat american pornstar. Yaay me...
http://ronjeremy.com/
Which leads me on to pose a question.. You civvie types... yes you lot.. Do you do strange things at works functions, or do you mainly just sit on chairs talking bollox and drinking beer? Should I prepare myself for a lack of excitement when i finally leave the Boss's employ, or is it all still fun fun fun on the outside?
Ive got 3 years left.. do I need to grab what fun i can now, or are civvie do's equally as fun?

Enjoy it while you can .... can't even do that much of the beer drinking what with today's drinking and driving limits .... a pint with your curry is about as good as it gets.

Enjoy it while you're there K - there's absolootely nowt like it on the outside. (try getting an invite to a civserv do - you'll see the difference - all watching each other for 'faults')
corporal's mess do's and all ranks do's are THE Best - or wo/sgt's mess If they have a good committee (spesh when dragon was on the cttee and i was on the wc cttee lol - that was the only time the wc got a Santa strippagram

Well it was a great do, Mrs K and I spent the night watching the deviants turn up..
'Hey youre Ron Jeremy!'
'Yup.. Now explain to your chick who Ron is and how you know....'
I know because I do, ok!
I thought as much Snappy. I shall savour every moment of our Do's then!!

I avoid them like the plague!

Yes, Kwackerz, they really are that bad.
(At least all the ones I've been to have been.)
It's the V-twin thing. There's just something about it that inline-4s don't have at all, and V-4s don't have enough of.

even the student nurses parties are boring now a days :(
Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Had our mess do last night, best night out in years.
The food fight began when we sat down and was brought to a halt at the end of the main course because the staff refused to come and clear the tables. To be fair it was starting to get a bit out of hand when baked potatoes became the ammo of choice.
All followed by much drinking into the night - Mrs. B_M is still in bed nursing an above average hangover (bloody weak civvy types).

It's the body's way of telling you it's been too long since your last beer.
