Hot tubs and maintenance...

Anyone have any idea how much hassle they are to maintain?

Have one friend say they are worse than swimming pools as the water is warmer, therefore a better breeding ground for all sorts and another who says they are easy....

was tempted to get one, but not if they are harder work than an animal

PS I have read up on them, just looking for real experiences
