Hi all, thanks for the well wishes and support :smt001
I am now out of hospital and recovering well (so far). The Op appears to have been a success, but only time will tell how long it will last.
For those interested, the Op was a double Gastro bypass, which basically means that there were two blockages in my bowel, one in my Jejenum (the exit from the stomach) and the second in Ileom (a little further along), these have now been bypassed to allow food to exit from stomach, where before I was unable to digest food. Unfortunately, there is no cure for Crohn's disease, but all the time the medication keeps it in remission, the surgery should enable me an improvement to my quality of life.
Again, thanks for the well wishes and I am sure you will see a few more posts from me soon, which may or may not be a good thing. :smt002
