I've just read on an Italian forum that he's passed away..

That is absolutely outrageous. I can't begin to understand the minds of people who would do something as low as that.
Here's hoping Nicky makes a full recovery, however long it takes.

Yes, I saw on my FB feeds lots of RIP Nicky posts, so he's lost that fight. A sad loss - he was one of the good guys in the paddock, and a true gentleman. RIP Nicky.
