In case you wondered why the weather has suddenly turned from freezing cold to mild, dry biking weather?
For that, you can thank the weather fairy (aka me)
Have just, after much deliberation, internet and soul searching bought a pair of these.

They are now fully charged and waiting for next winter...

I've never tried heated gloves as I hate thick linings (I wear summer gloves all year round) and with heated grips my hands are just nice and warm regardless of what the weather throws at them.
They're not cheap either are they!

I hate it when people ask if you have a bathroom, I want to say "No we pee in the garden"

Hahaa .. A Tanner? Soon there'll be talk of half-crowns, florins, thrupenny bits and all kinds of other coinage alien to 'youngsters' today...

Can you buy some heated boots or something for the weekend please I want to go out
For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.
That said when it comes to motorbikes, I like to ride side saddle with a nice frock

Wellll, I'm
almost certain the weather fairy effect works if people give me heated clothing too? Surely it's got to be worth a try?

Rather clever move, now you have winterproofed your pinkies, Mr Sod and his Law will come into effect.
Had you been fooled by the warm spell then you would have encountered massive avalanches on the M25/M40 corridor.
I work outside all year, I learn the hard way as far as Mrs Nature and Mr Sod play tricks on us, if I go equipped for every scenario they simply don't know what to to do catch me out

Remotely. You will notice that, despite the howling winds and torrential rain (yes, this morning was a fun commute), it's still way too warm for heated gloves!

Although they are a shrewd investment you may have to leave them in the box until summer/next week/some time/when you least expect to need them

Annnnnd, we're back! 2c this morning so thought it was worth a test. Tried the gloves on setting 2 (of 3) and that did very nicely. I didn't feel like I had heating elements on but my hands felt good all the way in. No discomfort from the cold, no freezing to the controls , nuffin
I didn't put any additional winter layers on (any more than I was using the rest of the week), just so I could test how cold it actually was. All very scientific but also, on reflection, stupid
Result? A worthwhile buy and, as a bonus, really nice gloves too!

Well if you did not notice the weather then they did all you need from them !
PS, I almost always have silk under gloves in my rucksack when the month numbers run from 10 to 4. Ish.
