For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.
That said when it comes to motorbikes, I like to ride side saddle with a nice frock

yup, I agree.
The real meaning of Christmas is to spend, spend, spend, buy as many unethical goods as you can find.
Try to out do everyone and sod the consequences to the sweat shop child labourers, zero hours contract workers, generate tons of toxic waste, fuck the good will to all men, its all about me, me, me !

Ah but it's not really - that's all the stuff you hear about, the ones you don't hear about are enjoying time at home with their families, spending a sensible amount on their kids, sitting down to a great meal that's a huge treat because they don't usually stuff their faces quite so much. But there's no news in that, it doesn't make headlines.

I'm thrilled because my younger daughter will be with us on Christmas Day - she hasn't been able to do that for years because she was helping to look after her poorly dad and her ex's very old grandmother. They've both passed on now so she can be here where she wants to be.

And then a couple of days later I'll have the whole family here, daughters, son inlaw and grandchildren - all in the same place at the same time!

And we're just one family doing that - there are lots more!

Happy Christmas!

The tragedy of old age is not that one is old, but that one is young.

I hate it when people ask if you have a bathroom, I want to say "No we pee in the garden"

It's nice to hear some of you are having a nice family christmas, how it's meant to be !
Perhaps I'm older and grumpier but it seems to be harder and harder to avoid the mindless hoardes.
I will buy all my prezzies online tonight, a donation to the Disasters Emergency Commitee, a donation to Shelter and one to an aminal charity.
I used to donate all the tips I got on my recycling rounds but this year that amounts to £5 and some biccies.

Well despite being an old curmudgeonly git I am currently sat outside with a set of bells on a pole jingling them outside my little lads bedroom at appropriate intervals and despite not being a drinker any more I am doing this with shots of whisky and a bottle of beer as it's blurry cold and there's no coffee
