Falcos do recover from winter storage

For anyone new to the site or anyone needing cheering up here is a good news bit.

Last started the bike on January the 5th, yesterday the weather was good and all of the salt from around here has been washed away so I rolled out the bike.

As apprehensive as anyone else would be I hit the starter, she fired up instantly and as I listened hard there were no miss fires or pops from anywhere, the new exhaust system does not draw stares from pedestrians so it most be OK and to be honest once you moving you can't really hear it.

So your Falco will start and the grin factor will return and it will be a good summer.
This was this morning, no leaks, no drama.

Smashing! Mine isn't going to start though. The battery is on top of the tumble drier and there's no petrol in it.

That's never going to work. Didn't your mum ever tell you that to set a tumble-drier on fire you need a spark and petrol?

Speaking of batteries I have to say that the Moto Batt I got has proved to be very good at holding its charge.
As for petrol after reading the site I will now on only put in the full fat petrol in, I know it costs a bit more but if it helps the tank swell issue then I am willing to pay the difference.

I've been doing that for a while .... it seems to improve mpg a bit and although I may be imagining it, I think the bike runs a bit sweeter with it .... though once the swelling tank issue is sorted, I'll probably go back to the regular stuff.

That explains why it wouldn't go then. I t confused me as it seemed to be turning over really quickly but not going bang.

I've got a shiny new one waiting to go on, I rate them, had one on the kwak and it was golden. I had a dynavolt on both bikes and they were good for cranking but both crapped out without warning at about the three year mark.

What you've got a tumble dryer that runs on petrol? And that also charges batteries whilst drying your clothes! Cool

Only now the battery is on - the Faclo - started straight up, MOT in the morning I think and I didn't need all those fingernails anyway. One of the calipers seem to be binding a bit but I think I know a way to cure that.
