It has been announced that after independence, Scotland will be renaming their road designations and, more significantly, following the rest of Europe in driving on the right.
Sweden did much the same thing a few decades ago - swapping from left to right in a weekend.
Here is a video explaining how this will be accomplished and how the transitions between Scotland and England will be managed:

A newspaper report explaining this in more detail can be found here:

Apparently they will be creating a border similar to the US/Mexico border too, with armed guards, to keep the Scots in and prevent them from deserting!!
Of course I could have fallen for your little ruse, but, after a lorry deciding I should be part of it's tyre tread I am far too awake

Won't work, I saw the aftermath propped up a wall after a tourist on a bike tried riding on the right up there.
Apparently he pulled off the site in the morning and managed a couple of miles before he was reminded by being hit in the face with a people carrier. Was told he walked away-ish which was lucky considering the mess the bike was in.
Where ever I lay my hat.....

I do miss Segway
Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

This isn't actually the first time that attempt at scaring has popped up!
