You survived uninjured which with accidents involving bikers they usually come second best. Glad you are ok Andy. The bike will mend if any damage :smt002

Nah - no damage Jay - it was a bit of a non-event but one of those that could very easily have been more serious

There was a bit of gesticulating towards the driver though!
I didn't mean to ask about the car, I meant the bike! Clearly I need to get out and ride!

Glad you're ok Andy. I had a wreck of a mini van full of migrant workers pull out on me tonight. On the upside I now know that my horn had stopped working since the pre-MOT check I did last week. Would have been embarrassing when I take it in tomorrow.

Horn, I haven't used that in years, just blip the throttle that usually draws attention....

Horn? I'd be too embarassed!

My horn goes 'peep' like a noisy chick!

Horn is barely audible beep, blip the throttle and it seems to shake their world...

My horn is louder than my exhaust. At least it is after you've been at the connectors with the emery cloth and contact cleaner.

Horn is one of these - better than standard but not worth doing until yours breaks.

I rarely use the horn but I've always fitted a Stebel Nautilus Compact to all of my bikes. A gentle toot is effective but not offensive and a serious blast can't be ignored. Finding the space to install it can be a challenge but you have the option of splitting the compressor from the trumpet section and using a plastic tube between them. I did that with my Falco and my current XT660R.

Whenever I can manage to find the switch, I find the standard one quite loud enough. Maybe they vary a bit.

Squid having a big horn is hardly news!
Glad you are ok
I have heard that a pocket full of batteries is often caused to be ejected in such situations often causing damage to cars ... Well that's what I've heard :smt003
For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.
That said when it comes to motorbikes, I like to ride side saddle with a nice frock
