I saw it when I crawled out of bed this morning - no ip address that I can see
the way the poster has written the telephone number makes me think it is not a UK based person
I still like the plan you posted in the admin section - but please can I play with the petrol bombs?
(And yes, folk have probably guessed that the bunch of deviants that sort of police this pale have not been amused about a spammer so have been plotting ....)

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

So you don't like our new kitchen information service then, Graham?mangocrazy wrote:Isn't it just time to make signing up for a ridersite userid a tad more difficult, such as requiring information that can be verified?

Actually signing up here is quite hard
Go back a year or so ago and we had over 200 registrants a day - on bad days!
They were spam bots and we - the admins worked out a system that has stopped that... Now to register it effectively be a person
I will not disclose how we did it but it works in the main ;)
That's probably why we are annoyed - this one company is using some one, probably in Indonesia, to do this here and elsewhere
As Andy says, plans are afoot

Particularly if it's a pair of them working together with matching blue jumpers and bright blue eyes ............ they do look like a frightening pair ...........mangocrazy wrote:Might be worth checking if forum software is compromised, or there is a way for non-privileged accounts to approve accounts. I would imagine there is some protection in law to stop asking this information.mangocrazy wrote:Isn't it just time to make signing up for a ridersite userid a tad more difficult, such as requiring information that can be verified?
Do you use one of those random generators ie "bxtry help" before they can join?
I hate it when people ask if you have a bathroom, I want to say "No we pee in the garden"
