Interesting video glove reviews: http://wn.com/cold_weather_motorcycle_g ... vzilla_com

All a fair bit beyond the most I've ever paid .... though I would like some that kept my hands warmer ....

and lost interest there :) Which is odd as it may have been that you had only ever had the one pair from your youth and only paid a groat ;)
For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.
That said when it comes to motorbikes, I like to ride side saddle with a nice frock

was pre groat currency - probably half a dead badger on a barter system....

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

As long as it is not a whole dead badger, (minus pubes), he may survive the bertering exercise!

There - corrected that for you .... unfortunately the goat wasn't so happy when I skinned him to make the gloves ....

So winter gloves .... I can tell you that Akito make quite a wide range of these I can also tell you that the ones I bought new arrived with a toggle broken so had to exchange them.
I can also tell you that IME the shiny new Akito Python waterproof thermal winter glove is neither waterproof nor thermal and that if you email them they don't reply.

I can also tell you that half a tin of waterproofing spray hasn't cured them totally and that the pink marigolds will be getting their first bad weather outing of the season today

Well that or I throw a sickie

Ah we'll back to the drawing board
