NOT a spoiler .... thoughts on WSB & BSB

Remembering that they have reversed the racing lap direction of the Misano circuit and watching some of today's Donnington WSB coverage, I began idly speculating what it would be like to see the bikes circulating Donnington in reverse - watching them exiting the Old Hairpin and sweeping UP the Craner curves .....
Then I drifted a bit further into fantasy land and it occurred to me that WSB and BSB are 2-leg races ..... so why don't they run each leg of each round circulating the tracks in opposite directions (one leg clockwise the other anti-clockwise)?
I realise that there may be one or two practical issues - I guess some run-off and gravel traps may not be so suitable for a reverse race (such as Redgate) and maybe some pitlane entries and exits .... but I bet most of these could be fixed with minimal effort.
I reckon that could mix things up a treat.
Anyone else like to see this?

Would be kinda fun when bsb and wsb become crap, but its motogp that need help
Mind you, theres always the danger it'll end up like touring cars. 1 normal race, 2nd race where the 2nd bunch of 10 start at the front (why dont they just reverse the grid?) and the 3rd race where some start facing the wrong way, some with 3 wheels, some race naked etc just 'to make it exciting' . I think it just makes it random like f1.
My idea is to jam a broom into the spokes of the last bike on every lap to encourage them to put some effort in before they break bones. I was thinking of assasination for the ultimate incentive but that would make it a very short season.

LOL - Pierre's ideas sound fun.
.... it has also been suggested that the Mountain at Cadwell might be "fun" on a reverse direction lap !

I was always informed that Donington was originally designed to run in an anti-clockwise direction, or was it one way for cars and another way for bikes????
Now to be honest I cannot remember who told me this, but we did used to camp at Donington a lot from the late 70's through to the mid -late 80's, so maybe it's complete rubbish and it was just too many beers?
Mind you I got very very pissed with some great racers of the time during those days. The best night was with a certain Mr Graeme Crosby, he of Moriwaki Kawasaki fame.........now that was a night (but not relevant to the thread so I'll save it for another time)
Is there any truth to this though??

Going to be hard to stop without any wheels on the ground....

Why stop, at that.
We have Superbikes and Senior races at the TT so why don't we run them alternate ways.
Then again, even better, why don't we run them at the same time on the same day, one clockwise, one anticlockwise, that way we'd be sure to get some major National/International TV coverage for the TT. That would be like real racing on the roads.
Seriously though Andy, what chaos for all the race teams at set up time. You do realise that MotGP bikes are fully programmed with maps for every bend on every circuit, do they just put the engine management chip in the other way round and hope for the best!

Not sure I'd agree - WSB - Spies always wins or crashes, BSB Camier always wins or crashes - moto GP Rossi / Stoner / Lorenzo all capable of winning.
On topic - Brands originally ran the other way round AFAIK - although going up Paddock Hill would be a lot less fun.

Hmmmm suppose your right, but did you know they'd be dominant before the season started?
Motogp is more erm, been to pub, erm, word, 'as expected' and if it wasnt for the last 3 laps of catalunya then i wouldnt remember any of the previous races. Was lagunaseca this year or last , i dunno
wsb has more potential, bmw and aprilia should be better sorted for next year and isnt there someone else joining aswell? Camier is winning in bsb but thought he was fast until wildcard at donny and was 3 seconds off practice pace and even his team boss was suprised, rambling
so in summing up, i agree with the previous poster
edit, fuck, remembered why i posted now. i have pictures (black and white! must be 1838 or something!) of 2strokes going round croft the wrong way
