Thank you for your e-mail to the BBC Sport website.
We have to make tough choices about what we can and cannot cover, and
unfortunately World Super Bikes falls below the line - although you will
find results on our site:
The problem is that we have limited resources, and we have to prioritise
what we can cover on a daily and/or regular basis. That means making
often difficult decisions about which sports - or, to be more accurate,
events within a sport - get covered.
These decisions are reviewed on a regular basis and, unfortunately, we
have had to conclude this year that World Super Bikes - along with
British Touring Cars, A1 GP and the Indy Racing League - has fallen
below the line.
We agree that World Super Bikes has some exciting races - but
unfortunately the excitement provided by a sporting event cannot be a
defining criterion for covering the championship, or else we would have
to watch every single sporting event and make often very subjective
decisions about which races we cover. It would also mean quite a lot of
Grands Prix and Premiership football matches would not get a mention!
We have to make these decisions on the importance of an event in world
sport, and I'm afraid that World Super Bikes falls below the line.
Best wishes
