Well things are looking up!

Toni Elias is out with a broken femur, best place for him IMO he's reckless.

Stoner in front but Rossi is right on his tail with Hayden 3rd, Edwards 4th.

I think they best let Stoner have pole seeing as nobodies won from that position in 9 races

I bet its a wet qualifier tho with a sunny race

Wow what a race from Rossi, really back on form. He may have struggled to get past Stoner but he showed his class by being far and away the fastset rider on track, problem being for anybody racing against the Ducati is that if you are faster round the corners but held up the slower cornering Duc and it then streaks away on the next straight. Don't get me wrong Stoner is still the real deal and you can tell by how much better he is than Capirossi, It's just great to see which manufacturer who takes different approaches to racing comes out on top.

Stoner for the championship for me, I think his consistency will win through.

Also think that with the new tyre rules Bridgestone has the upper hand.

This is going to be a classic season.

Not reckless - its just his style makes him look like that.



Rossi was a bit special today though - but fair play to Stoner - the pressure doesn't seem to be getting to him, and its his title to lose now.

Rossi rode like he believed Stoner did a great job, but if it carries on like this its going to be damn close between them come the end.

I don't fancy Stoners chances at the Sachenring he's not that great at bends (well the bike that is). I'd go as far as to say he won't win until Misano as its got a couple of long straights and he might only be at the front in a couple more, the other teams have caught up pretty much and Ducati seem to be lying down on the job.

Brilliant race at Assen today, with Rossi back to his absolute best. He made it look so easy coming through from 11th once his tyres had settled down. Was just starting to wonder if he was going to get stuck behind Stoner because of his lack of straightline speed, then through he goes on a left/right and away. I agree that Stoner may struggle with all the bends at the Sachsenring and if Stoner can can beat Rossi at Laguna I'll be really surprised. Imagine hammering up the straight climb to the corkscrew on that Duke then tryin to go left right left off camber. I can hardly ever get it right on the bloody Playstation car or bike, and Stoner's never been there before. It will be Rossi versus the Yanks for me. Nicky Hayden did really well today so should be in with a good shout, but Colin and Hopper won't be far behind. For me Rossi can still get the title but it's goin down to the last race and should be brilliant to watch all the way.

Looks set for some real racing. Not sure who will win out, which makes watching exciting. Pretty sure the championship is between Stoner and Rossi, though one or two of the others might get the odd win here or there.

Wonder when hopper will actually have a 2nd half as good as his normal 1st half of race. Bout time he won, must be all the layers of painters gloss on his teeth adding weight.

DePuniet doing well aswell and I bet bet nakanos preparing to fall on his sword, pity cos he's a star.

Nice to see Rossi having to work hard but shirley darling it can only be a matter of time before stoner chucks it?

btw, my mates got there late cos of knackered ferry and they were still fixing it when it was time to come home. Instead of being home for sunday night theyre not back till dinnertime tuesday. Its free food (and drink?) at the min, but I wouldnt want to be working on a ferry of pissed off late for work smelly bikers

Stoner did race last year at Laguna, lasted 15 laps

Hard brake as you pull rightover to the rhs of the track prior to the c/screw. let off and just use the back brake, slide in off the gas, bit of gas in the c/screw, doubletap the gas as you go to the right coming out of the corkscrew then carry the spinning rear round the left bend straight after the c/screw.

Even my 8 yo son can do that...
