1990

one owner from new

bodywork and engine / running gear are pristine

full service history - and i do mean full as it has been correctly maintained and serviced through out its history!

bodywork - even though it will vanish when the car is sold to a new owner, this was one of the porsches sold with a lifetime body work warrantee... and my dad has made them honour.... its just had new sills, sunroof seals etc.... you think i can be a git... he is a time served engineer and they lost... :)

full mot

interior is original but tatty (Dash really needs to be replaced as it has split due to sun exposure)

11 months MOT

its my parents car - and they would, i think, take a reasonable offer of around £3500

oh - last thing - the colour is very unusual - like a turquoise blue - Porsche released one model in this colour per country.... its is stunning :)
(http://www.porsche-model-club-asia.com/ ... 18&scid=11 shows one of the models of this colour - it really was an unusual one)

current location is in south norfolk - PM me for contact details

That's one hell of a lot of depreciation. The going price for a 944Turbo in 1988 was $AU 130,000.

I do like the look of the older Porsches. I just can't afford one. (Same as the Lambo Countach, really.)

Does it come with a tow bar to take the bike to the track :smt003

Yep it has suffered from depreciation a tad!

But it can be caned - trust me - want to hear a giant cough - put your foot down hard in this and it flies

And iirc my dad started buying Porsches when he stopped riding triumphs - he fell off at <5 mph ;)

as i said - interior, though original, is a tad tatty

i think that there will be a full set of invoices

the wheels are in very good order - were last professionally refurbished a couple of years ago....

Sorry, I meant spec rather than condition. Is it tartan cloth or leather for example, which wheels etc. Pics will tell :smt001

ok

just been over to see my folks and to upload some photographs

first off - some specific information that people have asked for.

The Car was bought new in 1990 from Lancasters Porsche in Norwich - it was serviced by them until they closed the Norwich showroom - cambridge was a touch to far for my parents. Fortunately a chap called Matt, who was one of the senior mechanics/engineers at Lancasters Norwich - he also declined to move and established a company called Autowerke - http://www.autowerkenorwich.co.uk/ since then all the engine and running gear has been serviced and stamped by them. Any bodywork that has needed attention - and there is a lifetime warrantee on the car so it has been checked over regularly, was done by Lancasters Porsche Cambridge.... the car has recently returned from them having had new sills and a couple of new rubber seals fitted to the sun roof. The car also received a new MOT inside the last four weeks.

the wheels were refurbished a couple of years ago - they look good :)

(Don't ask about tax - there is something that makes me smile about my mothers blue disabled badge being displayed in the car and the resulting lack of need to buy road tax!)

Mileage - 150,500 miles give or take

performance - about 40mpg on a steady long run - you cane it, you will see low 20's.... (Ask me how I know!) this is the full 3 litre flat four lump - and it really does shift

I described the interior as tatty - I did do it a disservice - the leather is all intact and everything works - BUT the dash is split..... purely down to sunshine. I suspect it would be a job that could be done over a week end, but these bloody things are very well made - so it would be complex i reckon!

so - my parents want £3500 - and I think they will get it - it has not been advertised anywhere as yet. Why are they selling it - well, my mother turns 70 this year and it is getting hard for her to get in and out of the car

I guess all I can say is this - I have owned a 944 myself and I loved the car - they are cheap too service and run for a performance car - this is a modern classic so insurance is cheap - if I did not have a small child, it would not be for sale - I would have it :)

Please PM me for their telephone contact details

oh - the interior is full leather..... and is intact :)

the bodywork has only ever seen the genuine porsche shampoo wax etc

the paperwork that comes with the car is complete - every single bill and invoice....

I believe that the lifetime body warrantee is for the car, not for the first owner - I suspect that porsche UK may beg to differ, but I have seen the certificate that says it is for the car.... but on a car that is over 20 years old they may try that on.... caveat emptor on that one
