#1 Post by robbier6 » Sat Dec 17, 2011 7:40 pm

ok, i appreciate suzukis aren't on the forum, but i do have an almost mint SV650S for sale.

Under 4000 miles from new. it has had its 4000 mile service. it comes with quill exhaust, which is road legal, a solo seat converter and pillion seat, also comes with the suzuki exhaust, its fitted with a Timing Retard Eliminator and digi gear indicator, also has a new battery, currently on sorn and will come with 12 months mot.

Fantastic condition, i havent used it this year as i have been restoring several bikes and any good weekends were spent on the other bikes.

am looking for £2700

I am unable to upload pics but pm me if you are interested and i will email you photos

Oooooh ..... my lad has only got to pass his Part2 now .... if it's still there when he passes his test, an SV is a bike I would recommend to him.

I like SV650s - a lot. If I was starting out on two wheels I'd be all over one of those like a rash.

I'll have a chat with him to see whether he's interested.

Is it one of the new fuel injected jobbies or a carb model? (I know you've mentioned it's a MK2 but not sure exactly what that means). Although he's old enough to do direct access, he's opted to do the test on his 125 - so I'd need to put a restrictor kit on it for a couple of years.
I think the carb models just have plates to restrict the aperture but the fuel injected models require a different ecu.

The lad was looking into a daytona 650 when he passed his test all that it needed was a stop on the throttle to restrict it and that was injection, so i should look into it a bit more D-R it might be simpler than you think!

My son didn't want to think about another bike until he's done his Part2 test .... but we're about to book it .... so if it's still about when he's done, I may be in touch.

Check on sv650.org for more details but I believe the injected SVs required a special ECU to restrict them, whereas the older carbed ones just use some metal discs or modified carb slides.
