53 Mille for sale, probably ???

Folks
I am thinking of selling my 53 mille, but really dont know how much to ask.
Im not sure how much notice one can take of the "price guides" on the net etc.
Its a gloss black, standard model, with just 4009 miles on the clock.
It was full serviced 300 miles ago, has a Alphadot fitted and all paperwork.
It has never seen rain and is kept in the house over the darker colder months. (Not my damp garage)
It will be a very reluctant sale but circumstances dictate im afraid.
When ive got it dusted down, how much should I ask for it, bearing in mind it is as new/perfect. ???

Hi NB, Welcome to ARS. It's not often we get Mille pilots dropping by, so welcome. Sorry to hear you're selling your bike.
Don't know personally about Mille prices, however a few of the lads circulate in circles where they might be able to offer some sort of advice.
Expect to hear comments on here about the Mille being a 'donor bike' - dont worry too much, it's just the Falconeers.. they have a vulture-like tendancy towards Milles.. Swingarms.. Suspension.. Oil tanks..

A couple of gen 2 s came out in 03 I thought? Or were they just 04 onwards?

Depends what you mean by gen2 as there were updates to the early shape ones .... but the RSVR/RSVR factory generation were 04 onwards
The old shape 03 MilleR did get the radial brakes though.

ah - thats what confused me - the radial brakes - i thought they were later models - as in gen 2 only.... - were they on the late factory gen 1's then?

No ..... there wasn't a factory gen one.
They were on the 03 MilleR
from 04 the RSV (Mille) morphed into the new shape RSVR and the RSV (Mille)R morphed into the RSVR Factory.
..... baffling many people at the time

..... so I'm guessing that means it's still for sale but not through ebay
