It will fit but you'll need to remove the flap attached to the bottom of the battery tray

It's the V-twin thing. There's just something about it that inline-4s don't have at all, and V-4s don't have enough of.

Not an easy mod to fit the later swingarm. Biggest problem is the lack of clearance to the battery box .... usually solved by chopping the bottom of the battery box and relocating the battery.

It has been done but most of us prefer the relatively easy path of the earlier Mille swingarm.
