For Sale: Stair Lift

#1 Post by Willopotomas » Sun Nov 28, 2010 8:08 pm

Stair lift removed from my Grans flat as she's moved in to a retirement centre/home thing, so it's no longer needed.

It's old, but works. Know next to nothing about it.. Stair lifts aren't something i've read much about..lol.. From what I can gather, it's a "Bison Bede", for straight stairs, has all the wiring and keys and takes you up and down the stairs.. :smt001 A control box at both ends of the stairs and a power breaker. Folds up and swings round to make getting on n' off easier. Was a dodle to take out, so no reason why it can't be the same to install. It was mounted on the right hand side of the stairs, but is self supporting, so no need really to have it against a wall.

That's about all I can say really. Must be worth about £150 - £200 in scrap, so offers in that region. Delivery is at cost, prefer it to be picked up. It's long, so will require a LWB high cube or Luton van.

Spread the word.. It's in my way.. If it's not gone by the end of December, it'll be broken for scrap. :smt002

Hmmm .... well if it doesn't sell, rather than scrapping it, there must be something we can convert it into that it wasn't designed for.
Not sure what but surely this has the potential for hours of endless fun ....

perhaps the futura owners could use it? may help them to get to their commodes?

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

I'm sure there must be someone locally who'd be glad of it - why not contact a local disabled peoples organisation? Most places have one.

Could be a useful means of getting one's bolide upstairs so one can work on it in the warm... :smt003

No bites on the selling front.. So.. C'mon.. What shall I do with it if it doesn't sell? Had thought about a nifty way of getting the bike in n' out the garage, but the lift can only carry 115kg, so thats scuppered that one..lol..

Fit it to the outside of the house

Adapt the seat and fit with a steel dustbin

Plant bin with hanging flowers and a christmas tree, fitted with lights and noisy christmas carol playing stereo.

elevate.

Phone ITV News. Sky News. BBC News.

Instant newsmaking situation.

Ensure you sell stickerspace on said dustbin to local firms. 100 quid per A4 Sticker

marketing is not a dirty word..
