Re: Falco & RSV-R performance parts
hmmm ... quite tempting ... but if I'm honest it would sit on the shelf for a good while - while I sort out the swinger, exhaust and a number of other mods I'm doing .... so I s'pose I'd better let F9 have it as he'll probably get some more immediate benefit from it .... and if he doesn't it seems that Sabestian is itching to get his hands on it.TreeTops wrote:

OK - pictures of the existing parts up for grabs, followed by some more new parts:
Galfer Rotors

No more than 500 miles on them and are in top condition. RRP of £385 + VAT. Selling for £200 plus P&P (tad heavy to include in the price). Going on who asked first, I'm waiting for one chap not on this forum to respond, then it's falcomunky then falcoholic.
Double Bubble Screen - SOLD

Bigger picture

Bigger picture
Brand spanking new (never fitted) dark smoked double bubble screen (pyramid). RRP £60 & VAT. Selling for £35 plus P&P. Current order of running is falcomunky then falcoholic.
Arrow Titanium Steering Damper - SOLD TO EEEP / POSTED 17/02/2007

I love this. I mean I really do love this. As pieces of metal go, this looks the mutts nuts. I don't think that I had it fitted long enough to tell you what sort of effect it had on the handling (I've only ever had three slappers on the bike, two from heavy acceleration (and landing) on the A54 and one 5 quid whore I met in Great Yarmouth once - she was fun but I hide to wash the smell of fish & chips off my todger afterwards). It fits in the same position as the RSV / RSV-R damper onto the yokes. The damping is changed by twizzling the nipple thing at the end of the dampting rod (not sure how many clicks it has). RRP is 224 inc VAT. Selling for £125 plus P&P.
Keyless Filler Cap - SOLD TO PIERRE / POSTED 17/02/2007

Bigger picture

Bigger picture
Still in it's packaging having never been fit, this is a very trick looking filler cap. Probably of most use to those who sling their Falcos (or RSVs) on the track. RRP of £65 & VAT. Selling for £35 plus P&P.
Evo Low Temp Fan Switch

Bigger picture

Bigger picture
Once again still in it's packaging. This switch replaces your existing thermostatic switch to lower the temperature at which your fans kick in. No idea why I bought it, but since Global Warming is becoming such a threat, surely any self respecting Aprilia owner should have one on his bike ? RRP not a clue. Selling for £10 inc P&P.
Carbon Fibre Toe Guard - SOLD TO SCOTTYNI / POSTED 17/02/2007

Bigger picture
One for the Mille swingarm owners (pre-shape change model). Fits onto the swingarm to protect your toes getting dragged into the rear sprocket in case of a spill. It's got the magic word, carbon, so obviously is the top of everyones shopping list. RRP approx £60 inv VAT. Selling for £30 inc P&P.
Front Seat

Bigger picture
I'd like to say that this is an extra special front seat, but it isn't. Genuine Aprilia piece so an RRP of £millions. Selling for £20 plus P&P.
Ohlins (smell the goodness) Forks - NON RADIAL

Bigger picture

Bigger picture

Bigger picture

Bigger picture
Note the small scuff where the fork is mounted to the yoke.

Bigger picture
Right fork top - clean

Bigger picture
Left fork top - note small scratch at 8 o'clock position.

Bigger picture
Note the mark in the anodized finish. Done today dropping the fork against the wall (tit).
OK - one used pair of Ohlins forks. These are straight and true (as verified today at a motorcycle repair & engineering shop). There a couple of marks where they mount to the lower yoke which are not visibile when mounted. There is a small mark on the top of the left fork top from where I tightened up the top using the Ohlins tool without placing it fully into the recesses on the top of the fork. Finally, I dropped the top of a fork a couple of inches on to the wall today which has left a mark in the anodized finish. This will be visible when mounted, so I'd suggest you rotate the upper tubes around to hide it :) Both preload adjusters show signs of use.
The seals are intact and OK and the general condition, other than the small marks, is excellent. To fit these you'll need to source an RSV-R (not standard RSV) lower yoke. I'll throw in the top yoke for free (along with a set of preload adjuster things that you put onto the top of the forks). Unfortunately I don't have the lower yoke (well I do, but it would need to be repaired since it's twisted). RRP is £stupid. I'll take offers around £500 plus P&P. I'd guess the P&P will be quite high since these do weigh a bit. If the offers are on the low side then I'll be putting them up on ebay - but I'd rather offer you chaps them first. If you buy them I'd recommend getting them serviced. Ohlins recommend that they are serviced once a year, and I haven't had them done for 18 months. Mileage is unknown (I put approx 900 miles on them, but I don't know how much they had before this).
Once I've got through this lot, I'll start with the smaller parts (coolers, rads, switchgear, pegs etc etc etc). I've also got a shed load of bodywork that'll need to go. It would probably suit someone who wants to get a load of trackday panels (since they will need spraying up to get them the same colour...).

Pierre - Done. PM your postal details again and we can sort out payment. If the damper doesn't go then you might just hit payday ;)
