For Sale: Aprilia Falco, 32600 miles £2500

#1 Post by spiderwheels » Thu Sep 27, 2018 5:10 pm

I bought this a few weeks ago but I appear to have over stretched myself financially so I have to sell it on.

Black
32600 miles
Genuine OZ wheels, powder coated black
Ohlins forks and 51mm yokes (From RSV R)
4-pad Brembo brake calipers (from RSV R) on nearly-new discs
Radial brake master cylinder
Ohlins rear-shock with remote preload adjuster (not from RSV R - genuine replacement item for the Falco with the vertical reservoir)
Aprilia Racing Carbon front mudguard
Carbon hugger
Carbon belly pan
--** Carbon fairing panels **--
R&G crash bungs
54mm throttle bodies!!
Power Commander 3
HM quickshifter
Akropovic silencers

I've ridden it a little. The ride quality compared to my other Falco is sublime (and the other Falco has an ohlins from an RSV...) the engine is certainly more potent.

£2500 rock bottom price as it's worth more in bits. Speaking of which, if I can get firm offers on the major parts I will start taking it apart.

Pictures to follow.

Sounds good ..... but I've already got a Falco with most of that stuff (and a few things too) so it's not for me.
What I can say is that they are a good set of mods which somebody should enjoy.

There is always the option for those that don't have all the upgrades to take what they need and sell on a standard bike. (The more logical choice would be to buy this and sell the 'old' Falco but we do get attached to our bikes...)

Stop that, I'm still running the Futura in! Have got the mileage up a bit (21k now) and it's still the most comfortable bike ever. Have stuck some handguards on so it's ready for the snow :)

Well now you could convert the Fut to use the Falco swing arm which would allow you to use the OZ wheels and the ohlins shock. Then you could fit the ohlins yokes and forks which would also give you the larger 320mm discs and the 4-pad calipers.. The 54mm bodies and PC3 will be a nice boost... and you could maybe find some way to mount the Akras..

and then put all the left over Fut stuff on the falco and have a unique second bike

(disclaimer - no idea if any of that will work :smt003 :smt003 )

No wife or kids to sell! :smt003
As it happens fate may be suggesting just that as my old Falco is p*ssing about. The poor thing does have 53000 miles on it... maybe it's time to let that one go. Though I will have to figure out what's wrong with it first. I have a soft spot for it though. Until recently it's been spot on. It also has a black frame which I much prefer over the silver of the new one. It's probably worth a grand once it's running right...and it has OZs and an ohlins shock which would be sold separately... formulating a new plan.. thanks FB :smt004 :smt004

Break the bike and keep the frame for a rebuild on another some time?
Along with the wheels.
