Yellow spring Sachs shock for sale

#1 Post by mangocrazy » Sun Aug 16, 2015 9:35 pm

Like it says in the thread title. I have a Yellow spring Sachs shock for sale. The shock is in excellent cosmetic and mechanical condition, having just returned from a full service at Revs Suspension. As those who were at the Trentside meet in June will know, this shock was leaking oil and meant that my participation in the ride out was shortened somewhat.

John at Revs couldn't find any obvious reason for the seal failure, but mentined that some times inactivity is the worst thing for a shock, as the seal can stick to the damper rod over time and then tear or turn when it's used again.

Anyway - it's all in A1 condition now (photos will follow tomorrow) and I'm asking £170 delivered or £160 cash if you can either collect from Sheffield or meet up at Griff's open day in September.

<edit> - as promised, photos below.

I've had that happen twice to me - both times after the bike had been stood idle for a few months.

So the best prevention is to ride your bike!
It's the V-twin thing. There's just something about it that inline-4s don't have at all, and V-4s don't have enough of.
