Falco for sale

As per title really. I've owned her for a lot of years and have had some great times riding her, not least of which was a run down to the Milau Viaduct a couple of years back, but father time has caught up with us both now and it's time to move on. Her name is Bess btw.
She's in bits in the garage and will be sold in that state because I have neither the time nor the inclination to do anything with her.
She's a black cat c with the CNC kit and extra fairing to make her comfortable. I have a ventura rack and bag for her, a yellow shock, full Mille exhaust, oil tank, oil cooler, tuono sprocket cover, Mille swingarm and rubber bits, and other stuff too. There's even a proper stand for her which is just like an Abba stand.
She's not in the best of health and could do with some tlc, but her engine (25000 or so miles) is fit and strong.
I strongly recommend coming and having a look because no amount of pictures would better a personal viewing but I will stick up a couple of photo's later today showing how she did look and how she does look now
I'm looking for £500 for the lot which, I think, is more than fair.
I would much rather she went to somebody on here than be sold on THAT auction site so I'll give it a week before putting her on there.
Any interested parties please PM me.
You'll need a van or trailer to collect her but I'll be more than happy to help you load her
Thanks for looking.
Rob.

Hi Rob,
I'm interested. Sounds like it could make a good project.
Does she still start and run? Any issues that we should know about?
A couple of photos would be nice. Where abouts are you?
Thanks,
Dale

Hi Dale,
She started and ran great when she was in one piece. As I said the engine is lovely and the battery is still charged as it's on an Optimate.
As for issues. Well she probably needs a new clutch slave cylinder. The wheel bearings aren't new, the wheels will need attention, as will the chain and sprockets and the tyres, and she'll need a proper clean and service. Other than that I think she's good to go. So £300 - £400 on top of the purchase price should have you a well sorted Falco. But I'll reiterate that yiu really need to have a look see, or get someone you trust to do it for you.
I live in the heart of Cheshire in Northwich.
Cheers,
Rob.

Cheers Rob.
I'll call during the week and confirm when I can pop over to take a look.
If I decide yes, i'll be leaving a deposit and arrange a date to come and pick it up.
Thanks
Dale

Depending on what Dale does, I might be interested in a few of the bits - specifically the stand and the Tuono clutch cover. I'm only in Winsford (shortly into Sandiway) so easy to pop over, but obviously will wait on Dale.

No problem Firestarter though I'd rather get rid of it as a job lot.
If Dale doesn't want it I've got one other - PM'd me just after Dale - who might want it all so I'll go down that avenue first.
If it doesn't sell soon though it'll have to go on THAT place at which time the vultures can start circling because it'll be going on for bits.
Also, I'm the second owner of this bike. She was first registered in April 2001 and the first lived in London and put 15000 miles on her. I bought her from UPJ Motorsport in Renton in March 2010 and have added close to 11000.
Cheers.
Rob.
Just as a postscript though. This isn't as easy to do as I initially thought it would be. I've had Bess for over 4 years and she's the second Falco I've owned. I've got some of the best biking memories you can get from riding them too - 1st European tour, 1st track day, longest ride in a single day, 1st 150mph on the speedo moment (on the TD officer obviously

), and so on - so parting is going to be emotional. But I simply haven't got the time to put her back together as she should be done due to work and personal issues. I would MUCH rather she went to someone on here because then at least she'd be going to someone who feels the same as me about them.

No worries.
Now how the bloody hell do I load photos off a memory card that the computer doesn't recognise?

Leave the memory card in the camera and then cable it to the PC perhaps?
Card readers can go bad too so try another if poss
& USB ports can get damaged so try a different one.
Good luck

At Anglesey for a TD.

In La Courtine on the way to the Milau. You can see the Ventura rails on her too.
One of her before I did the bar conversion, and one after.
