Guys, I have my very much loved Futura for sale and as most of you know I am only selling due to a massive life saving op in December. If I could keep this bike I would but as I have an 8" scar running through my gut its not safe for me to ride :

This is my 2002 52 Aprilia RST1000 Futura with only 11700 genuine miles on the clock, this is very low for this type of bike. I have had this amazing bike for 2 years. I saved hard for it, finally managed to buy it. It came from a well known, reliable dealer in West Wales. Just reviewed by Ride magazine and has come out in the top 20 of all sports tourers. It has no issues of any kind, everything works as you would expect it to. It is immaculate and fully serviced and cleaned to in inch of its life. It is really comfy to ride and pulls like an absolute train. It is in excellent condition. It is MOT'ed until October and will be tax'ed for six months when she sells. I can't stress how nice this bike is, absolutely nothing needs doing to it and it really is in great condition.

Only 40 miles done since last mot.
I have full service history for the bike with a complete fluids and filters change and new chain and sprocket fitted. It has the original panniers and makes miles disappear on any tour without feeling stiff at all.

Feel free to ask questions on here or on my mobile 07905439374. Feel free to come and view this bike as I know you won't be disappointed and is the nicest example of a used bike that you are likely to see.Image

I should add that I'm after a bobber / cruiser / chopper and have my eye on a yamaha xv950 so I might even be open to swapping for a nice bike if anyone has anything of interest especially if its a custom.

Ah so it's more a case of scrunched up riding position / proximity of injury to tank type thing than having to give up completely?

I knew those cruiser things must serve some sort of purpose but never before had I stumbled upon what it might be :smt003

Hope you find something good.

Its a change of life style too dude as I need to slow down a little, someone telling you that you are about to die and then living through it has changed my mind set a little

Ah I should update my location as I've been in Oxford for the last year ha

Would that be the same oxford where tolkein wrote the hobbit and where the landscape inspired the shire?

I rest my case

(Also explains why saruman lives north of you....)

No wonder your guts are ripped to pieces - those helicopter blades can do a lot of damage .....

I admire your courage Kurt and as I recollect taking it for a little bimble at the Marches meet, can vouch for the bike being a really capable and practical proposition.

Is that man operating on you with a multi-tool?
