2004 Black/Bronze Falco and extras - make me an offer!

#1 Post by k1w1boy » Fri Nov 22, 2013 12:46 pm

Apologies to those of you who've already read this where I put it in the wrong place.

The Falco has to go.

2004 Black/Bronze
25700 mile and counting - I'll be riding it until sold
Taxed until march 2014
MoT until August 2014
FSH including recent full service

Good bits:
Sidestand mod
SL carbon cans/eprom and OEM
Triumph indicators and orignals
Gold painted wheels
Tail tidy and OEm
Black pazzo lookalike levers
Mini number plate nd originals
Tasteful gold mesh cooling fan inserts
Lots of stainless bolts here and there
recent DID chain and sprocket kit
R&G protection on frame and forks
Sensible tyres with quite a bit of life left in them
Datatool S3 alarm, both fobs and paperwork
Cigarette lighter accessory socket
Scottoiler

Wear & Tear:
Scuff on RH exhaust can
Broken mounting point on hugger
Intermittent coolant hose leak
Could do with a new battery or just to be plugged-in (still starts fine)
Usual little scratches and marks of a bike ridden every day
slight bubbly blemish on LH side of tank

Sundries included in sale:
Rear paddock stand
Steering damper - not fitted
Holed but fixable belly pan from the falco before - never tried to fix or put it on this one
Oxford chain lock and two keys
oxford tank bag and panniers

I need to shift this fairly quickly and will consider any reasonable offer. PM me for pics or look at the falco group on facebook https://www.facebook.com/groups/FalcoFans/ - the pics are in the comments section of my (kerry mu) post

Kerry. Xmas is upon us mate and there is not a lot of money about mate. If you want to sell you will have to give it away. There was a nice bronze one on ebay a couple of weeks ago at 1700 quid.
Your bike is worth a lot more than that mate, but it really is the worst time to be selling. I know its a harsh reality. :smt009

desperate times...

#5 Post by k1w1boy » Wed Dec 11, 2013 1:00 pm

... and this is a reality I'm prepared to accept. If I can get a job for January (TBC in the next 10 days), I'd be prepared to take a 'deposit' for the bike from a reputable forum member - or someone else with suitable references from a 'known' forum member - and the balance later in the year. If I don't secure a job I will need to accept a 'silly' offer as I will desperately need the cash. Another possibility would be grovelling someone to store it and sell it on my behalf. Please spread the word - one way or another the bike has to go. Desperate times and all that ... :smt009

Yes, I was wondering whether there might be an option for someone to store it until the market picked up.

... there will be a silly amount of trust involved as I'm moving overseas - but there are folks on here and their 'associates' I would be prepared to arrange this with. Of course, I would also be willing to negotiate a fee for time & trouble - a percentage of whatever it sells for, for example. Ad will be on Autotrader for one more week - pics are there.

Come on guys - this is criminally cheap for a 2004 Falco ..... going to a trader.

If you are thinking about it or know someone who is then talk to Kerry without delay - I'm sure he'd prefer you got it cheap than a dealer
I know the deal will be done with the dealer tomorrow so if you want it, you'll need to goferit quick

Here are his pics from Facebook:

I'll offer you storage, but unfortunately am unable to buy at this time. If just getting rid is the only issue, then I have no problem keeping her here until the better selling climate comes around. Optimate, dry and damp-free. Can collect Friday or Sunday if you decide to go down that route. Just sort me out the cost of diesel is all I'll ask.
Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handle bars to the saddle.

I would love the bike Kerry apart from a few things. I would feel bad about offering so little due to not have sufficient funds.
And if I turned up home with another falco sally would go through the roof :smt093

...well it's gone and for (gak) £1300 in the end. I've asked for the SL carbons and eprom back which I will try to sell on here since they might recoup me a few more shekkels. On the upside, I've been officially offered a job - in sunny Oman.

Great news about the job!
Sad news about the bike, but at least it is sorted.
Hope the new job (new life) in Oman all goes well for you.

bugger I would have stored and sold the red one to pay for that
For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.
That said when it comes to motorbikes, I like to ride side saddle with a nice frock
