In the hope someone has one lying around collecting dust!
I know other stands will fit but require slight bodges to ensure they work properly, I'd rather just get one that I don't have to mess with.

If you have a friend/relative in the US, and they will send stuff to you as a gift, then think about buying a US one and getting it sent back. This only applies if you can dodge the dreaded customs tax - if not then it's not really worth it. In the US, you can buy the part for $42 - that's about £28. Over here in rip-off Britain Lings Honda will be pleased to sell you one for £69.05...
Honda Part number is 50530MEL000, by the way.

Thanks for the part number Mango.
When it comes to mechanics or any kind of metal working I have no clue so I'm after something that I can just fit straight on so I don't run the risk of fucking anything up!

Whether you get the 'Blade stand from the UK or from the US it will be the exact same part - no difference in quality. However the UK and US Falco side stands are poles apart - not the same thing at all. The US-model spec Falco side stand is all the things the UK Falco side stand should have been but wasn't.

Seems that the blade stands are like rocking-horse shit so I've gone for a VTR stand.
I read on here that you have to use the original bracket and a few people have had to weld a blob to stop it hitting the exhaust. Any other pointers?
Thanks.

Adjust the kick down lever with a hammer
Just use the leg
Drill a new hole for the side stand switch

Take the falc s/stand switch off and note the position of the hole for the peg on the switch, in both stand up and down positions, dont worry if you need to flip the stand a few times to be sure.
When you have worked out where the hole needs to be, mark the spot using a sharp centre punch and hammer.
This leaves a tiny indent, locate the drill bit in the indent and you'll end up drilling the hole where you need it !
Got any handyman type mates ?

Thanks guys.
I do have some handy mates! However, I've just ordered some centre punches (£2 off fleabay), I have a hammer and drill so I'll give it a go myself.
If I need anything welded I'll give it to my brother who's an apprentice welder.
What could possibly go wrong!!
