It bolts to the underside of the aluminium drop down part. Instead of bending the numberplate fixing down, I have bent it up (past 90°) to tuck it even closer to the underside of the bike. You can see that the numberplate light couldn't get much closer to the underside of the bike. If you had an aftermarket numberplate light you could move the plate up slightly further than I have, but I decided to stick with the original light. The 'ears that the indicators screw up to have been shaped so that if you're using stock indicators these will be horizontal to the ground rather than pointing at the angle of the bend.

I would recommend using an 8" plate with this, anything smaller and the bracket will show. Anything bigger and the indicators will be close to the numberplate (still showing as long as the indicator stalk is longer than 20mm (I think, I'd hae to confirm this).

Please be aware though that the thread length of any aftermarket indicator must be less than 20mm long (M8 thread). The slots by the holes are so that the stock indicators can be fitted without the need to chop the connectors off the end.
