FOR SALE: APRILIA SL1000 FALCO – 2004
An excellent example of my much loved Falco. I bought the bike back in Feb 2010, and spent a long time finding a good standard one, it had just 2,600 miles on it back then and hadn’t even had the wire cut for alternate fuel mapping, and so was barely run in.
Since then she has been well looked after, I have changed the oil and filter religiously every 3 – 3.5K (additional filter supplied ready for next change). She had iridium plugs fitted at 10K, and the valve clearances checked by a dealer at 12K. Also Recent Yuasa battery, ‘Michelin Pilot Road 2’ rear fitted only a couple hundred miles ago, plus recent chain and Supersprox sprocket.

Current mileage is 15K, tax and MOT until March 2013. All relevant paperwork and history with the bike, including both keys and std toolkit.
Bike has performed faultless in the time I’ve had her and I will be sorry to see her go.

Many extras adding up to a fortune fitted to the bike include:
• Seat hump (pillion seat included)
• Scorpion Cans (with removable baffle), originals also supplied
• Bellypan (Original lower also supplied)
• Triumph ‘Arrow’ Indicators
• Ohlins Shock (serviced and fitted @ 10K)
• RSV Swingarm (fitted complete with new bearings at 10K)
• GSXR Side Stand (professionally mod’d)
• HEL Braided Brake Lines
• Oberon Clutch Slave (fitted 2K ago)
• Uprated starter relay
• Oil Cooler/ Rad covers
• Carbon Dash Surround
• Carbon Hugger
• Carbon Sprocket Cover
• Carbon Chain Guard
• Carbon Chain Lower

Sounds like you have cherished this bike dude and must ne sorry to see her go.
Unfortunatly falco prices have been dopping lately and i think you might be a bit enthusiastic with your price...Others might disagree.
Tbh i would wait until spring when it is the best time to sell and you might get nearer your asking price

Thanks for the input, not the end of the world if I end up keeping her as a second bike if I can't get my price, shes a great bike and theres no modern equivalent to replace her with in my opinion, if they made it new I'd have one ordered, no Q!

Worth that sort of money? - Undoubtedly

Likely to get that sort of money? - I'd love to say so but probably not if you sell as modded. Regrettably, the way to maximise your return seems to be to strip off the goodies and flog the bike in close to standard trim and flog the goodies for a healthier return.
However if you can get someone to take a more holistic view and have all the goodies already fitted then that would be good news.

If it sells, I hope you do well with it and if not I hope you enjoy extending your ownership.
