I have a s/s chain gaurd which is no longer needed now the mille swing arm is on, looks great when fitted. I've never come across another one like this. Maybe theres more out there but who knows.
Any way i'm after a trade for a complete falco airbox? i need one to butcher, anyone have a spare they don't require?

That looks like it's been either laser cut or water jet cut. Very flash. I do have a spare falco airbox but, like you, I'm saving it for nefarious activities. I won't actually be butchering mine, just using it for a template.

I'm very tempted but as I've had my Falco swingarm coated black, a stainless chainguard would look a tad out of place. Very tasty, though...

Are you guys making a gasket? To hold down a rubber flange?

Is so I'm looking to do the same thing.

If you take the top of your current airbox and draw around it you've got the outer dimensions, you then just need to work out the width you want, and then get someone to make one up.

actually carl, no need to do that

take your airbox and work out which part holds the airfilter in place
(CLUE there is a dimple on the top of the box!)

now, using a dremel cut away the upper part of the box, leaving three thick strips of plastic to the dimple - you have now opened the air box up

now to seal it to the underside of the tank
(Do remember to clean the underside of the tank btw - there is a sticky pad there for chafing.....)

head to a decent car shop and buy a lenght - like maybe 150 cm of car or caravan door seal - there are lots of different types, and some have very long lips on them.

the beaded edge will fit on the the area of plastic you have just cut - where the strips of plastic go up to hold the air filter, cut the back of the bead off - do it properly and you should find it stays in place as it is held by the grip either side.

apply lots of veseline to the lip and that will ensure a good seal

Simples - an evo type air kit for around a tenner :)

Excactly what i plan to do. Just need a spare airbox hopefully Falconihlist has one. The induction roar you get with standard cans is great but one race cans are on they kinda drown out the induction noise so with the 2nd map available with Gabro chip i fitted i want to have a go at the airbox mod

I've had a look and can't find it at the moment, will have another look in a bit as I was away assisting the Nooj.

I have an 03 RSV airbox that will never ever be allowed near my bike ever again as it isn't flat and made of carbon fibre... if that's any use to anyone..
