Didn't think you were allowed to back out - I thought bids were binding??

they are ... you can only cancel a transaction by agreement or by lack of response from the buyer but you have to ask for that and wait for a cooling off period takes about 1-2 weeks I think but that is the equivalent of cancelling a contract otherwise as far vas I am aware it is binding
For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.
That said when it comes to motorbikes, I like to ride side saddle with a nice frock

Seems really strange then. There should be maybe a cause for legal intervention. :smt017
That is of course unless...... Oh never mind.

Nice bloke but wanted me to keep the bike for 6 weeks which he hadn't asked before. He did apologise and advised me to relist it and he will still buy in 6 weeks.
For that money I will probably keep the bike or ebay it again later today.

Keep it.

This time of year as autumn and winter loom is never going to be good for getting top-dollar (what's our proper English expression for this?) - especially as Falcos seldom go for what they are worth.

That said .... if you do plan to sell, strategically hang on a little while - remembering the other thread on here that MCN is looking for Falco owners to interview for a V-twins feature they are doing.
When that publicity comes along, we'll get a bit of a surge in forum membership and also bike prices will rise a bit .... at least that's what has happened every time in the past.

Completely understand your view. I'd be spitting feathers if I was in a similar position. No chance of bringing the bike home again?

Nah I just meant be a shame to take it apart, TBH I never rode it enough it became a project I'm proud of, especially for my first ever bike so it's good it'll get some proper use. Be nice to try something else when things improve. Without the help of some key players on this site I wouldn't have had the nerve to tackle it
....happy riding all!

Is that the albatross dressed in a vulture disguise?

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...
