Rear sprocket WTB
Hi all sprocket at rear is on it's way out anyone got one or a good lead for one
For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.
That said when it comes to motorbikes, I like to ride side saddle with a nice frock

I know this is the usual advice but I wonder how important it is (I honestly don't know)bigun wrote: If you're changing the sprocket though, you really need to change the chain and front sprocket too as they'll have worn together.
I have two sets of wheels I use and the sprocket carriers on each are different - therefore when I swap wheels I have to use a different sprocket.
I guess I could swap front sprockets and chains whenever I change wheels but as I would have to split and rejoin the chain each time, it really isn't going to happen.
Any thoughts anyone?

I know conventional wisdom says replace all the drive train at the same time my GSXr riding wheelie popping mate does 2 rear sprockets to one chain.
i imagine you are well on top of keeping the chain lubed so the only problem would be slightly accelerated wear of new rear sprocket.
Dont forget the chain links and rollers are made of harder material than the sprocket,consider the massive industrial uses of chains/sprockets..........
the life of the chain far exceeds the life of the sprockets. effing expensive to keep replacing 35 feet of chain !
Sprockets are designed to be sacrificial

Well the front sprocket should be ok as a lovely young man from donnie way helped ... Well he sorted that not too long back I think I have a spare chain so I don't mind changing that as the spare is a DiD one so really just the rear sprocket as it is just going over. Not sure if it is the original so if it is that's nearly 20k
