2005 Falco

For sale, as I've just bought something else.

I bought the bike from a close friend 3 years ago after it had spent a couple of years unused in her dry barn. It has all the manuals with it, two keys and Meta alarm blippers, a new set of spark plugs and a sheaf of history and receipts.

I re-commissioned it and have since added about 8 or 9,000 miles including a road trip to France last month. Here's a list of relevant bits of info:

- 37.5k miles
- Brand new chain and 42T rear sprocket in July 2015
- 15T front sprocket
- New M7RR tyres in July 2015
- New Armstrong front discs supplied by Aprilia Performance in July 2015
- New Goldfren front brake pads fitted same time as discs
- R&G crash bungs
- Ohlins rear shock with remote preload (proper off the shelf Ohlins, not ex-RSVR)
- GPR exhausts
- K&N air filter

- NWS rear hugger
- Aprilia Performance air box kit (uses underside of tank as lid). Original lid comes with bike
- Forza chip to suit exhaust/airbox. Original chip comes with bike
- Braided steel clutch & brake hoses

Last October the bike was taken to Aprilia Performance for a major all-day service (I have the receipt) that included:

- Oil & filter
- New brake and clutch fluid
- New spark plugs
- Valve clearance check (none needed adjusting)
- Throttle bodies balanced
- Suspension set up
- Suspension linkages dismantled and greased
- New pin in rear shock linkage

In my ownership the bike has also had the following:

- Forks (Marzocchis) stripped, cleaned and rebuilt with fresh seals and oil (heavier oil, smaller air gap)
- New genuine Aprilia front disc bolts
- New front and rear spindle bolts, fork pinch bolts, various other bolts (all genuine Aprilia)
- Skidmarx fibreglass belly pan (original lower radiator cowl in VGC comes with bike)
- Fork bottoms repainted
- Front brake calipers stripped, cleaned & greased
- New Yuasa upgrade model battery
- Optimate lead

The bike wears its miles exceptionally well and goes like buggery, the various mods having made a real difference to performance. There's barely any corrosion and until I slid off it at Rockingham earlier this year it was pretty much immaculate.

The left side of the bike still is immaculate, but there is some minor cosmetic damage on the right, as follows:

- Scuffed tail & grab handle
- Scuffed/dented can & link pipe
- Lightly scuffed Skidmarx belly pan
- Light scratches to tank (have almost polished out but some remain) and miniscule ones on spar
- Light scratching to nose cone

I have replaced the front brake lever, R&G crash bung and indicator, all with brand new parts. The remaining damage is so minor, and in my opinion not at all worth fixing. Polishing has really helped. Pics from today are shown below.

I'll put a brand new MOT on it for the buyer.

No-haggle, firm price of £1,600. Crazy price for a 2005 bike with new tyres, discs, chain, sprocket, MOT. Not budging on this price.

The bike is near Aylesbury, Bucks. PM or call 07779 091913. I may be able to deliver it. NB I am on hols 10-19/8 & 24-28/8.

Thanks

Nick

That's a steal !

Can't say I'm surprised it went that quick. Bargain.
