Put my name on the vulture list if it gets that far :)
For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.
That said when it comes to motorbikes, I like to ride side saddle with a nice frock

Hi Dale.
Because I was going to rebuild her, spending money where required, with the Mille/Tuono bits, and get her painted/coated/cleaned/polished/sorted as required. It was going to be one of those projects that would keep me busy. Unfortunately there happened to be a number of projects which, apparently, were more important and that kept me even busier. New Kitchen for one. So she's just sat there waiting for someone to give a sh*t and actually do something with her.
If you're serious about using her as a track tool I reckon a lot of the cost of getting her ship shape could be recovered from selling all of the excess bits and pieces. You'll have a complete high bar kit to get rid of for one. A Ventura rack and bag for two. And so on. In fact the more I think about it the more I think I'm underselling her by some margin. Oh well. So be it. I won't have to do the work.
The yellow shock is off a Tuono of the same vintage as the (unfitted) swing arm and so is the right fitment. Although a Leprechaun told me this in a moment of drunken lucidity.

I'm right 98% of the time so why worry about the other 3%?

After having had doubts put in my mind about this sale by a fellow forum member I've decided not to go ahead with the sale at this time.
I was going to replace the fairly forlorn and unloved pile of bits with a newer, though still Aprilia, model. But now I'll replace it with a working phoenix like Falco. It may not be beautiful. It may not (read won't) be showroom, but it will be mine and it will be Bess. It may not even be road legal as I may turn her into a Track Tool. Something she has already acquitted herself at admirably. We'll see.
Whatever happens I'll let you know. Don't hold your breath though because it'll take a while.
Sorry if this raised anyones hopes of getting a bargain, or finding that long lost part, or simply getting a cheap project to keep them busy over the winter.
Rob.

No hard feeling as I haven't lost any money (assuming I can cancel the van hire without a fee) and if you change your mind again then let me know.
