Well I've got my hard disk recorder and bullet cam fitted to the bike and did a recording yesterday morning when I went to work. I'll not bore you with it as its typical built up area video.

Works well I think, just what I've always wanted for a track day

The cam mighta been better off set up in your garage.

I've got one set up in there, its on a motion sensor setup. Records direct to my computers hard disk

I did try looking for a laser light, cos I was thinking if they see a light they might stare at it wondering what its use is, then after about 30 secs it flashes, might burn out their retinas

But I can't find one

What type of hd recorder gio? I tried a 4 channel recorder that they fit to buses but as soon as I drove off it gave disk errors and stopped. Had 3 cameras taped to my bike aswell, wouldve been mint.

Probably going to end up gaffataping my digicam to my fork leg for 1st trackday, really profesional like.

Its a Yukai PVR-H230

I like it and haven't had any probs.

As an add on you should be able to get both the recorder and bullet cam and live feed to your bikes battery for around £170

Thought it would be just the job on my dirt bike but it could have been so much better.
The problem is the on-off buttons they needed to be big Fisher Price type instead of the stupid small things on it . The last thing you need to-do on a bike is stop and take your gloves off to turn it on .

I had a look at one of those, but decided for an extra £40 I could have something that I can use for other things and not just as a camera.

So whats the quality like john? The couple of vids I saw using them were a bit shaky?

The advantage is you can stick loads all over the place dead easy. Bootcam!

The quality isn’t bad not as good as a bullet cam I would say the same quality as a good web-cam but without the missed frames . If you follow the link and go to footage there is a clip that will give you a ideal. Must point out only just got it so have yet to put it through a good work out.

Me and the camera had a track-day at Silverstone today I performed ok but the camera was shit.

Would only stay on for a few min’s then would switch off I assume excessive vibration to be the culprit.
If you intend to use a camera on your road bike I would recommend the bullet cam set-up personally.

Seen the results of some of Gio's trial runs with his set-up and I'm quite impressed.

... with the cam that is, no comment on the riding or roads.
