So I have a Dainese Santa Monica jacket and have been searching for a set of leather pants to complement the jacket.

There is a plethora of options out there, I mainly do touring type short trips and being a lengthy tall bastard I need plenty of 'give' in the legs and crotch.

The SF pelle is marketed as a street/touring type





The delta pros are marketed as a track type of trouser





I'm guessing the pelle style of leathers would be better suited for touring but the Delta pros seems to have elastic in the same areas so wouldn't they be just as comfortable?

They are similiar in price, and if the delta pros offer more protection in the case of you know what, well I'm happy to pay the extra!

Can someone who is familiar with these products please provide me with some feedback?

Also I don't require the pucks, as I cant drop the knee so to speak so would feel like a bit of a schmuck in them, should I just resort to the alien pelle's?

Hi, I have the SF Pelle,
I find them very comfy. Done the Alps and Pyrennes in them no probs. Bit odd to walk in with the preformed knees but you get used to it. The stretch panels help with no leather folds pinching skin. Can be abit drafty/Damp in "certain" places in winter. The little tag across the middle/fly came adrift which was repaired under warranty then the press stud came off on the tag which I had repaired at a local Mister Minute type place. I'm on my second pair. 1st pair were ripped open on one shin by a transit vans bumper which then continued to cut me down to the bone. Should the pants have stopped it? don't know, may have been worse in a different brand without the built in plastic guard. I don't wear the sliders either and they look Ok without.

Well I went with the pelle alien's as they are 'designed' around my intended use and I would feel like a bit of a fool in the 'lairy' delta pros.

I shall provide some feedback with what I think of them :)

Was surprised to see the ones recommended for track were the ones with pockets.
I know a few people with permanent indentations in their bodies, even if only from a super heated 50p piece.
